Lindsay van Ginkel

Lindsay brings a wealth of experience to NewGen, with over 17 years in the schooling system across admissions, client liaison, personal assistance, and operations. From juggling schedules to handling the nitty-gritty details, she thrives on keeping things under control. Customer service is her forte, and her bubbly personality is the secret sauce that adds a touch of warmth to every interaction.

Lindsay believes in helping students discover their potential, empowering them to overcome challenges, and guiding them toward a bright and fulfilling future. She’s committed to ensuring that each student feels valued, capable, and supported on their journey, no matter their starting point. Petrus Pretorius

Petrus is a highly skilled and accomplished plumbing professional who brings a wealth of experience to NewGen Trade Schools! With 14 years of hands-on experience in the plumbing industry, Petrus has honed his expertise through key roles at prominent companies.

Petrus served as the Western Cape Service Manager at Electrolux, where he led a team of technicians and ensured top-notch service quality. His journey also included a pivotal role as the Lead Technician at Monster Plumbing, where he tackled complex plumbing challenges with precision and skill.

At NewGen Trade Schools, Petrus shares his extensive knowledge and practical insights with our students, preparing them for successful careers in plumbing. His dedication to excellence and passion for teaching makes him an invaluable asset to our programme.

John Labuschagne

John is a seasoned millwright with an impressive 34 years of experience in the industry! John’s extensive career spans several high-profile companies, where he has made significant contributions as both a millwright and electrician. John is the facilitator in our Electrical department.

John’s professional journey includes key roles at Toyota, where he applied his skills in both millwright and electrical disciplines. He also has notable experience from working with BMW and Alusaf Aluminium Smelter, tackling complex challenges and honing his expertise in a range of industrial settings.

What sets John apart is not just his technical prowess, but also his deep passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of skilled tradespeople. His dedication to sharing his knowledge and experience with students at NewGen Trade Schools makes him an instrumental part of our team.

Trevor Atkins

Trevor holds a BCom Economics degree from the University of the Western Cape and brings a diverse background to our institution.

Trevor began his career with Intelligent Debt Management, where he gained valuable experience over two years. In 2021, he made a significant career shift to education, serving as a Business and Accounting teacher at Generation Schools. His transition to teaching was driven by a deep passion for empowering students with practical knowledge and real-world application.

In 2024, Trevor joined NewGen Trade Schools, where he continues his mission to inspire and educate the younger generation. His commitment to blending academic knowledge with practical insights makes him an exceptional addition to our team.
