His passion for teaching and mentoring young people drives his commitment to preparing the next generation for the workforce, making him a key leader in shaping the future of skilled trades education at NewGen.
Kevin believes that anyone with a passion and determination can achieve their goals, regardless of academic performance. Samantha Louw

Samantha Louw is an experienced education admin & operations professional with over 20 years of experience supporting schools, colleges, learners, educators, and senior leadership teams. She has a strong background in educational operations, HR, student and parent engagement, staff management, and admissions support.
Throughout her career, Sam has worked closely with principals, college directors, and executive management to ensure the effective day-to-day functioning of educational institutions. Her experience includes overseeing campus operations, coordinating staff and student activities, managing events, supporting HR and implementing systems and procedures that enhance organisational efficiency.
Passionate about education and people development, Sam is recognised for her strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders. She combines sound business management knowledge with a genuine commitment to creating supportive learning environments that promote academic success and organisational excellence.
Petrus Pretorius

Petrus is a highly skilled and accomplished plumbing professional who brings a wealth of experience to NewGen Trade Schools! With 14 years of hands-on experience in the plumbing industry, Petrus has honed his expertise through key roles at prominent companies.
Petrus served as the Western Cape Service Manager at Electrolux, where he led a team of technicians and ensured top-notch service quality. His journey also included a pivotal role as the Lead Technician at Monster Plumbing, where he tackled complex plumbing challenges with precision and skill.
At NewGen Trade Schools, Petrus shares his extensive knowledge and practical insights with our students, preparing them for successful careers in plumbing. His dedication to excellence and passion for teaching makes him an invaluable asset to our programme.
Justin Hopkins

Justin is a highly skilled and experienced electrician with over 25 years of industry expertise. His diverse career spans major firms in industrial engineering and construction, where he has made significant contributions as both a site manager and an installation electrician. Justin plays a key leadership role as the facilitator of our Electrical Department, leveraging his extensive knowledge to ensure project success.
Throughout his career, Justin has demonstrated exceptional problem-solving abilities, particularly in challenging projects globally. His technical proficiency across electrical disciplines and his hands-on approach have earned him a reputation for reliability and excellence.

Trevor Atkins

Trevor holds a BCom Economics degree from the University of the Western Cape and brings a diverse background to our institution.
Trevor began his career with Intelligent Debt Management, where he gained valuable experience over two years. In 2021, he made a significant career shift to education, serving as a Business and Accounting teacher at Generation Schools. His transition to teaching was driven by a deep passion for empowering students with practical knowledge and real-world application.
In 2024, Trevor joined NewGen Trade Schools, where he continues his mission to inspire and educate the younger generation. His commitment to blending academic knowledge with practical insights makes him an exceptional addition to our team.
